Start with the bigger picture
Your provider may review changes since your last examination, personal and family history, medications, and health goals. The examination and recommendations are individualized rather than identical for every patient.
- Health history, medications, and allergies
- Blood pressure and other relevant measurements
- A physical examination
- Screening and vaccination review
- Laboratory recommendations when indicated
- Nutrition, activity, sleep, and other wellness concerns

Bring your questions into the conversation
Make a list of symptoms, changes, or concerns you want to discuss. These may include weight goals, hormone-related symptoms, or questions about your preventive care. Some concerns can be discussed during the visit; others need a separate evaluation, additional records, testing, or follow-up. Bring your medication and supplement list and relevant results from other clinicians.
Leave with a practical next step
Your plan may include lifestyle goals, additional testing, vaccination recommendations, or coordination with your usual clinician or a specialist. An annual visit does not replace ongoing primary or specialty care. We explain the recommendations so you know what to arrange next and which questions to bring to follow-up. Call (361) 933-5150 to discuss preparing for an annual physical.
